From May 8th to May 9th, we are consecrating 24 hours of non-stop worship at the Murray Hill Theatre. This is not an event; it is an altar we are building together to honor the Name above all names—YHWH, the One who was, and is, and is to come. He is calling you to come exactly as you are. Whether you stay for one hour or twenty-four, come and surrender to His goodness. Sit at His feet like Mary. Soak in the river of His presence. Praise until the chains break. Pray with a heart wide open. Rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Whatever burden you are carrying, cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for YOU with an everlasting love. Let’s lift one voice, one heart, and one sound that echoes through eternity. What is Whispers in the Dark?Whispers in the Dark is an immersive walk through experience designed to highlight real struggles that many in our generation facethings like suicide, drug use, bullying, and the consequences of drinking and driving. Each room presents a different scenario, showing the lies people often hear and believe. Some of the rooms include live actors who depict powerful scenes, making the experience even more real and impactful. But the journey doesn’t end in darkness it leads to a powerful message of hope and life.2. Why is there a trigger warning?We include a trigger warning because the event deals with heavy but very real topics suicide, overdose, bullying, and similar struggles. These are things that impact our community, even at a young age, and we want to prepare people so they know what to expect before they come. The goal isn’t to shock it’s to bring light, hope, and truth to areas where many feel trapped in darkness.3. What age group is this for?We recommend the event for ages 10 to 34, since research shows suicides can begin as early as 10 years old, and young adults are deeply affected by these issues. According to the CDC, suicide is the second leading cause of death for ages 10–34, which is why this event is so important. That being said, anyone age 10 and up is welcome, and parents can use their discretion if bringing younger children.4. Is this a haunted house?It’s not a haunted house and it’s not meant to scare for entertainment. Instead, it’s an alternative experience for October that tackles real life issues in a creative and immersive way. While the subject matter is heavy, the ending is uplifting and offers a message of hope.5. Is this a church event?It is hosted by a church, but it’s not your typical church event. It’s open to the whole community, no matter what someone believes. The focus is on showing how real life struggles don’t have to end in darkness, because there is always hope.
