Dear Friend, I recently returned from Ukraine after spending time with Billy Graham Rapid Response Team chaplains ministering on the ground. I witnessed so much suffering, grief, and hopelessness—but I also saw the power of the Gospel at work. At the Samaritan’s Purse Emergency Field Hospital, chaplains met Fedir, who had witnessed much of the fighting in his hometown. He was thankful his family was already safely abroad, but he was deeply traumatized by what he had experienced. Fedir poured out his story to the chaplains and then listened as they shared the Good News in his native language. Fedir enthusiastically prayed to receive Jesus Christ in repentance and faith. His anxiety lifted in “the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6, NKJV). We’re getting ready to begin the God Loves You Tour in the United Kingdom—a nation that has become so saturated by secularism. Will you pray that people from every walk of life will attend, listen to the Gospel with an open heart, and leave changed by the message? WAY Radio has joined with Crossover CUPS Mission to help a village in the Dominican Republic, specifically the mountain village of Alto de la Jagua. In February 2021, the WAY Radio listeners in Brunswick and in Jacksonville provided the funding needed to construct a community center. The WAY Radio community center in Alto de la Jagua will provide discipleship programs, including the Boys’ Life Basketball Discipleship program. It will provide a meeting place for the 200 children in the village to learn about Jesus while being afforded the opportunity to have programs that will challenge them to avoid the traditional traps of poverty in the Dominican Republic. Too many children, without programs like ours, end up trapped in a life of abuse and exploitation. Our Boys’ Life Basketball Discipleship program empowers young men to become leaders in spreading the gospel in their communities. YOU CAN SEE THE WORK IN PERSON!
