Cups Mission Day

Thank you for supporting Cups Mission. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2025 WAY Radio first partnered with CUPS Mission in 2021. In these few years, the listeners of WAY Radio have provided the funds to support a mission that is changing lives in the Dominican Republic. It started with a community center that allows the village of Alto de la Jagua to meet to hear the Gospel as well as provide a place for the children to play basketball and learn trades that will help them provide for their family and avoid the street life that steals the innocence of so many children in the D.R. In the years since, donations from listeners have been supporting the village missionaries and providing access to the center. This vital ministry in a poor, mountainous country needs our continued help to bring THE message and an opportunity for impact. You can find out how you can give to Cups Mission at cupsmission.com. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2025 will be a day that hope continues. From 6 am until 6 pm we’ll be bringing special emphasis to the work happening in the Dominican Republic and how you can make a MAJOR contribution toward the effectiveness of the Gospel presentation. Be ready to call with your donation (or to have questions answered) at (877) 291-6501 or click HERE to be taken to The Cups Mission page. Your gift will get a child into the discipleship program in Alto de la Jagua, as well as provide missionary support to the community. Thank you for joining us in this special ministry at the WAY Radio Community Center in the Dominican Republic.

June 2024 Update

We had an incredible testimony come out of Alto de la Jagua. (Transcript) While the children were enjoying playing basketball together and then breaking up into their age appropriate discipleship groups, the adults in the community were also growing their faith through men’s and women’s discipleship where they’ve been learning what it means to be a part of Christian community and follow Jesus’ command to love your neighbor as yourself.  In response to this, the ladies have started pooling their limited resources to make sure that an elderly widow in the community has everything she needs, and to take opportunities to pray with her and encourage her in Jesus’ name. Your gifts of support have made this possible.  thank you!   Donate here

April 2024 Update

Here’s what is happening in Dominican Republic with Crossover Cups Mission. Would you support the Village of Alto de la Agua this month by praying?  Pray for land to expand the ministry, for the health of the women in the village and to protect young people from vices.  Jose’ Luis and Dani ask for prayer for better communication between them as a couple and for financial wisdom.  Your prayers make a difference for those serving on the ground.  If you would like to learn more about Cups mission, go to our website cupsmission.com and thank you for your support of Alto de la Agua.   Bringing supplies to Alto de la Jagua is no small thing. Donkey make the trek 2.5 miles up the mountain. Check out the shoes on the man. That hill is at a 45 degree angle. They are so sure footed. Discipleship is ongoing to teach the Bible and the Love of God.

January Update

Alto de la Jagua, Dominican Republic On mission in the Dominican Republic with Crossover Cups this month. 2 .5 miles up in the mountains is the Village of Alto de la Jagua. As we arrived the children shared with us the VBS songs they learned in the summer. While they were doing the hand movements to the songs their parents were also doing them and singing the Bible songs with the children. Generational change is taking place, because you gave to construct this community center and support the people of Alto de la Jagua. For that we say THANK YOU! Just a side note, the Missionaries Jose Luis and Dani have to walk the 2.5 miles each time they go to the village. Which is 4 days a week right now. Most of the trek is around a 45o angle.

October Update

588 Children Receive Backpacks and School Supplies     Hey CUPS Family,   Daniel and Judith and all of your CUPS Missionaries send a big thank you to everyone who brought school supply donations and made financial contributions to support the school supply project this year!  Dominican students start back to school a little later than American students, so last month you provided enough funds and materials to give backpacks filled with school supplies to 588 students in Zion, La Union, Valedor, Alto de la Jagua, Paraiso, and New Dawn who are returning to school.   The average Dominican older than 15 has completed less than 8 years of schooling.  Participation rates in rural and impoverished villages like the ones CUPS Mission serves is even lower.  Your partnership means that more children will have the tools they need to stay in school longer, and they will have a community of support who loves them in Jesus’ name to help with their educational needs. You make all of this possible through your continued faithfulness in giving.   Thank you!    Click the link below to make your significant gift to sustain this and other CUPS Mission programs to Rescue a Child, Transform a Family and Do it Again Tomorrow!       Our Contact Information CUPS Mission 2607 Woodruff Rd Suite E #418Simpsonville, SC 29681 877-291-6501https://cupsmission.com/way-donate Thank you for the back packs!

August Update

A Miracle 12 Years in the Making  It was the summer of 2011, and much like any summer I was working with teams of summer missionaries who had given of their time, talent and resources to join CUPS Mission in the Dominican Republic.  That year we were putting a roof on Victor and Virginia’s home. Virginia has always been a jovial spirit and expressed her faith in God. Victor… not so much. He was a poor, hard-working fruit picker who spent most days climbing trees deep in the mountain forests surrounding his village.  He didn’t have time or patience for our talks of faith in Christ, but they are a family who CUPS missionaries have loved and served for over a decade, and this year God performed a miracle! Click below to read the full story. https://cupsmission.com/cupsblog/august-2023 Summer camps have wrapped up but there is still more work to be done. CUPS Mission – Dominican Republic We wrapped up a PHENOMENAL summer trip season last week and cannot wait to do it all again in 2024 We had the most incredible summer working with teams from all over the US. From seasoned veterans to eager newcomers, folks came to love on the kids, minister to families and witness firsthand the transforming work God is doing in the DR! All that said, our 2024 TRIPS are now live on our website!! Go to cupsmission.com/trips to reserve your spot for next summer. Hurry! They’ll fill up fast Here is another update from our friends at Crossover Cups Mission. Until we meet again next year! Peace out, DR

March 2023 Update

Defeat Will Not Come Near Us – Ps 97:1Hello WAY Radio Family,   I hope you are doing well and enjoying the promises of God in your life and family. Jack, Daniel, and our team are thankful to call so many of you friends.   Many of you have been on mission trips with Jack, Daniel, or myself in the Dominican or Malawi. I can’t think of a mission trip that I do not have great memories of, even the crazy ones, and there were a few. You have been great friends.   When Terica and I first moved to the Dominican, we had no idea what God had planned. We could only view it on our scale, small. We had no idea that in ten years that it would include multiple missionaries, fifteen buildings, a thousand children in programs, a garbage dump ministry, six sewing and baking schools, multiple churches, a partnering project in Malawi, and now an orphanage on the horizon. Following God on a mission is scary and exhilarating.   A medical condition impedes my ability to work every day in the Dominican heat, so I spend my time leading mission teams back and forth, mission fundraising events, and working a few jobs to keep my family supported. Still, my heart remains in those mountain villages.    As a mission ambassador, I walk a unique path. I invite people to join a mission that I feel is the best, most efficiently successful ministry in the world. God has grown it, and you have funded it. I’m a steward of the resources that people like your family and mine continue to support. So I take my God-ordained position very seriously.   Thus, I study trends in stewardship. Right now, fundraising experts are telling missions to be careful, believing the next few years will see a downturn in generosity. They believe inflation will make people turn inward, and others will be distracted by all the little internet fundraising schemes leaving them with less to share with legitimate missions. These are disheartening words when you are on the cusp of a new project. Stay with me for a minute if you can.   I want to prove them wrong. I want to report an army of God’s disciples committed to making a long-term difference for the kingdom and the rescue of children. Thus, I am going to ask you a favor. There is no pressure, as we are not face-to-face or eye-to-eye. I ask you to make your partnership with The Crossover Cups Mission a priority over the next 12 months. I ask you to double down where you can to compensate for any loss the experts foretell.   Stand with me on Psalm 91:7 in saying with declaration and glory to God, “Though some fall on the left and others on the right, defeat will not come near us!” I know that God has brought us this far to finish the course! Amen?   The water pump on my 12-year-old Ford broke this week, and the cost is over $900 to replace it. My mind wanted to be depressed until God reminded me how blessed I was to have a car. Most of the people our mission serves do not, and most likely will never own a car in their lifetime. I have a credit card to stretch the repair bill out until Jesus returns, while most of those our mission serves will never hold a credit card.    We are blessed. We partner with you to feed the hungry, improve health, employment, education, and the excellent gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been allowed to invest in an eternal retirement with friends. Life has been good to me. Thanks for being on the journey as we save the lives of children.   Thank you for your partnership,   Mike Williams  Our Contact Information Cups Mission: Dominican Republic / Malawi / Mexico 2607 Woodruff Rd Suite E #418Simpsonville, SC 29681 877-291-6501 https://cupsmission.com

January 2023 Update

A YEAR IN REVIEW     WAY Radio Family   Wow, what a year God has blessed us with! Can you believe that it’s already 2023? I know we are having a hard time believing it!   2022 was an amazing year for the Crossover Cups Mission. We had a total of 991 kids in Bible school! What a number! In addition to the number of kids in Bible school getting the opportunity to hear about Christ, over 1,000 people heard the Gospel! We also had a humbling number of 71 Dominican teenagers that decided to follow the call God put on their lives and help lead the summer Bible school program across 6 villages!    Mission trips during the summer are some of our most fun and engaging times as a team! Together, we learn more about the Gospel, how to dive into a deeper relationship with Christ, and how to be a team player all while showing the love of Christ to our friends in the neighboring communities in the Dominican!    T his past year, 211 people decided to say ‘YES’ and come on a mission trip! This year, we are hoping to have even more people decide to come with us and make the decision to have Christ impact their lives in this awesome way.    Our Contact Information The Crossover Cups Mission 2607 Woodruff Rd Suite E #418Simpsonville, SC 29681877-291-6501 https://cupsmission.com/way-donate

Crossover Cups Mission Day

Way Radio DR Fundraiser 2023 *PURPOSE: To provide a sustainable farm, feeding and discipleship program and missionary support for a year Due to the nature of where the Alta De La Jagua is, it’s important to provide a sustainable garden/farm for the people of the village.  Your gift will help to provide chickens and eggs.  This will sustain the people in the village and will also provide a source of income for them per a microbusiness. Your gift will also help provide for the feeding program and the discipleship programs.  It’s important that we help provide for both the physical and spiritual needs of people.  It’s hard to hear about a God that loves you when you haven’t eaten in a few days.  Your gift helps to fund this for a year. To run discipleship and feeding programs, we need missionaries willing to go and invest in the village.  Your gift will also help to fund those missionaries and care for their families as they serve the village of Alta De La Jagua. *Cost Check out the Crossover Cups Documentary below. Thank You for your care for the people of Alto de la Jagua.

September Update on the DR

Great things are happening in the Dominican Republic. Bible Camps have wrapped up for the summer.  Praise God, we had more kids come to bible camp and more kids come to know the Lord.  The discipleship program now begins.  Please pray that kids will come and learn what it’s like to live a life with Jesus. Our teams that serve in the Dominican Republic love the opportunity to interact with the kids in the Mountain Village.  God moves in a powerful way through those times.  Your gifts of support are making the difference in the lives of people in the Mountain Village..  Thank you for your support.  Would you like to know the story behind how Crossover Cups was founded in the DR? August Update

August 2022Update from Our Founder Mike Williams         The Moment I Knew it was a Success!   This summer was another in a series of exciting success moments. This year I was able to see with my own eyes the second generation of students who have risen from poverty to become Christian leaders. Four years ago, we had 12 disciple leaders who prepared to help us lead the summer Bible Camps of 400 children. This year we had 75 student disciple leaders, and the level of quality is above and beyond with each passing year. Your partnership has made a difference.   You can see for yourself on August 27 at 7pm when we livestream our new documentary. Subscribe to Youtube or Join our Facebook to get a reminder notification. It was barely eight years ago when we had that first Bible Camp with 55 kids total, and this year we pre-registered over 1000 children for programs in four different village locations and our mountain church project. God is doing great work through you. I mean it when I say that. Our partners have been the wind beneath every wing. Yes, I know it is God, but even Jesus said that the Father honored every cup of cold water given in Jesus’ name or the name of His disciples (followers). So, quiet down and take your humble bow!! I don’t know the success rate of the other missions, churches, and Christian endeavors you are supporting. But, I can tell you this one is busting at the seams with success. When many churches are closing their doors and speaking to empty rooms, your mission has completed the building of a new church and started another new church! We seek to break ground on a new church building that will seat 350 people. Let me remind you that amid so many things happening on our world scene, don’t be distracted from what is successful. Of course, we want to help those sinking ships, but never at the cost of what IS working. I encourage you to keep up your support and double down if possible. History has proven that your investments are working at this mission. On behalf of Daniel, Judith, and our entire team, I thank you for making this possible.Mike Williams PS: Let me get deep. I have worked in Evangelistic and Christian ministry for over 40 years. I have seen entire villages make public professions of faith (as seen in extensive group prayers for salvation). I know I can lead an outdoor revival tonight and encourage most of the crowd to pray my carefully worded Christian prayer. Tomorrow night a group that I would consider a cult could lead a crusade and have the same people who prayed with me pray their carefully worded prayer. Poor people will pray any prayer you suggest in hopes of waking up the following day healthy, wealthy, and in a different societal class. While I believe it all starts with a “Yes” to Jesus… please read on. Jesus told us to go and make disciples. Making disciples is time-consuming. You can’t fly in, preach and leave, and have a mission accomplished. It requires living among the people, which is why all of your Cups missionaries live in the villages they serve. My words do not undermine the teams that come for a short-term visit. They are an incredible “piece” in the puzzle of kindness. Nevertheless, true discipleship in the Christian life takes face-to-face time. The most excellent teacher of all time (guess who?) took three years with His disciples before they were ready to function successfully on their own. So, yes, in a glorious genuine report, I could tell you that we had over two hundred children raise their hands and pray out loud for first-time decisions and five hundred raise their hands for re-dedication. What matters to me is that in four years, we have gone from 12 disciple leaders (those who are helping disciple others) to 75 disciple leaders who are now helping disciple others. Success in Jesus’ name!   If you want to JOIN THE STORY and keep things like this happening, click the DONATE button below to join the team. July Update

Thank You!  Your gifts of support are making a difference in the Mountain Village. A team recently came down and finished painting the basketball court.  They signed the court with Romans 10:14-15, But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed?[a] And how are they to believe[b] in one of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? 15 And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”  A 1000 kids are participating in bible camp this summer.  Pray many kids would come to know the Lord. Summer update in the Dominican Republic

Though the summer heat isn’t quite yet here in the Dominican, what is intense is the heart of our teams for the people. Already, we have had 3 weeks of teams here and we wrap up our last 2 groups July 15.  Patrick Cawley from our ‘sister’ station in Brunswick GA, along with his daughter went on mission in the DR. Lets look in and see what is happening there. Please continue to pray for the work going on in Alto de la Jagua, Dominican Republic.

Bart from our sister station 90.7 FM WAY Radio in Brunswick GA is in The Dominican Republic this week. Update: Wednesday we climbed to the top of the mountain to see the Way Radio community center. It is almost finished and it was exciting to pray over the center and dedicate it to the Lord. Thank you so much for sponsoring children and hopefully seeing them come to Christ through the WAY Radio Community Center in the Dominican Republic. April Update

April 2022     Greetings Friends of Crossover Cups Mission!   I am so proud to be a part of this mission with you. It has always been a team effort, and you have been great team players. When other missionaries come to view the work they are overwhelmed with the quality of the programming and what your team has accomplished in these ten short years.   I remember the first days in the first village. We packed into that little 10′ X 20′ room with fifty kids and did our best to share Jesus with them. The heat was so intense we thought we were dying, but God was bringing life to a community. Over the years so many of you have come and sweated with our team in multiple villages. You know the summer heat too. Best of all you have not forgotten us when you returned home. Thank you for that.   Together we move forward into the next season with hope and joy. We still look at big projects like the new sewing business project with fear, but we hold onto faith. We know how this will help rescue and provide employment for so many girls currently in our program. Thank you for your prayers and support.   Now for many of you, this paragraph can be your jumping-off point. But if you have a spare minute, let me speak to you about legacy. Walt Disney is known for his generosity and love for children. He was also known in the industry as a film cutter. It did not make any difference how many hundreds of hours his animators put in on a scene, if it did not move the picture forward properly, he cut it. Snip-snip, no regrets! Once his animators worked for 240 days on a 4 1/2 minute Snow White scene… 240 days… and he cut it because it was not needed in the story. Ouch. Disney understood the message he wanted to share and made decisions based on the desired outcome. Often I need to cut things from my life that do not lead me to my desired end.   I want my life to be focused on missions of purpose. To do this I have to make choices about how I spend my time and my resources. As a Christian, everything I have comes from the Lord. I am simply a caretaker that is entrusted to grow in value for Him. How about you? We all are investors. We invest our time in mindless television or educational television, mindless literature or literature that builds us up and makes us better people. In the financial world, some of us go for high-risk investments, others for safer low-yield investments. Some of us require a guaranteed rate of return.    You all know that I am not big on asking for money. But as I get older I am thinking more about my goals in life. I am thinking more about my legacy. Not only my legacy before man but my legacy before God. Can I encourage you to make the mission you know and love a part of your will and estate planning? Can I encourage you to look into a charitable gift annuity that will pay you great dividends and help rescue little girls for the kingdom? If you want to talk about how to do that, give the Stateside office a call and set up an appointment with me personally. I am in the midst of doing a Charitable Gift Annuity myself right now. I will tell you what I know about the crazy good benefits beyond the interest and what it can do for a mission. If you have already made Crossover Cups a part of your estate planning, will, or trust, please let us know.   Mike G. Williams  Donate Now

Crossover Cups Update

February 16th, 2022   A Word from Jack Eason, CUPS Executive Director:   I am humbled to think of your generosity over the last year with Crossover Cups Mission. Your faithfulness has impacted many families and change countless lives of young people on the northern coast of the Dominican republic. It’s amazing as I walk through some of the villages, I always think about what dozens of people who have sacrificially given who make ministry in life change possible for many of these children. I don’t know about you, but as I get older, I am reminded that only what is done for God will last. I’ve started to see a lot of the material possessions that I have as simply tools to advance God‘s kingdom and reach more people with his love. No doubt, you have a similar heart or you would not be making such an investment in the work that we are doing together. I was the last few years, people have asked if The Crossover Cups Mission is set up to handle Legacy Giving. Some people are inquiring as they think about leaving part of their estate after they leave this earth and go to heaven. How humbling to think that people are thinking about continuing to make an impact even after they have gone on to be with Jesus! The answer to that question is YES! We are set up to handle any kind of estate giving that you or your family might like to give to enable more children to continue to be transformed and hear about the love of Jesus. Continue reading below to find out how you can get involved. Again, thank you for the blessing that you have already been to your ministry and the transformation that you have already been part of.   Jack Eason The Cups Coalition     The Cups Coalition is a community of givers who are making transformation of lives in the Third World part of their lasting legacy. December 2021 Update

Dear Crossover Cups Family, What a year it has been! Can you believe that Christmas is almost here already? We are so blessed to have the amazing team of supporters that we do. We are so thankful for each and every one of you all the time, but especially during this Christmas season! When I think of Christmas, I think of the unexpected. Who would have expected that the King of the World would be born in a dirty manger in a small town with no pomp and circumstance, just he, his parents, and a few animals? But, God delivered the Redeemer to us in an unexpected way.  When I think of how my life changed eleven years ago when I reconnected with my good friend, Mike Williams, I did not expect what would happen. Something great, a renewed friendship with a champion for children, and the merging of two hearts with a passion of ministry and people. The result? More families who are being impacted with the hope of Jesus and lives being transformed. When we, as The Crossover Cups Team, see the magnitude of what God has called us to do, we are sometimes overwhelmed. Until we are reminded that God again moves in unexpected ways. Every week, people like you are praying and giving gifts, many times they are unexpected. God often works in the unexpected. The last 18 months have been a challenge for all of us. And yet during this unexpected time, God is still working. As the Christmas season approaches, the prayer of our team for you is that God would do something unexpected in your heart this holiday season. I hope you are looking for it. Because oftentimes, He is in the unexpected. Thank you for your continued partnership that makes unexpected things happen every day!-Executive Director, Jack Eason & The Crossover Cups Mission Team Our Contact Information The Crossover Cups Mission 2607 Woodruff Rd Suite E #418Simpsonville, SC 29681 877-291-6501

November update in the Dominican Republic

What’s New in Our Dump Ministry? How God continues to move in the Dominican Republic! With the growth of ministry in La Union Abajo and the addition of the bakery and sewing center, more impact is happening on a weekly basis in the lives of families in this Cups Village. Since La Union sits just below the dump in Sosua, most of the people that you may have seen rummaging through the garbage over the years have come from that village. Because of the ministry of the new bakery in La Union, more of the feeding will be happening right there in the village instead of in the garbage dump. That’s good news! Our garbage dump feeding ministry continues two days a week, but the more strategic feeding and ministry is happening in the village where the people live under the direction of Samuel and Ysemene, our Cups Missionary family who leads the ministry in that area. Thank you for your continued support that makes an impact here! We Are Thankful for You! Thanksgiving is coming up, and while we are always thankful for our supporters, donors, and encouragers, we wanted to take this time to thank you for all your support and prayers throughout this year! Crossover CUPS is extremely blessed to have such the amazing group of supporters that they do. You are part of the reason that this mission can stay alive and keep doing the work for the Kingdom of Christ! Thank you for being a blessing to us, here at Crossover CUPS stateside, and in the Dominican Republic.  Our Contact Information The Crossover Cups Mission 2607 Woodruff Rd Suite E #418Simpsonville, SC 29681 877-291-6501 http://cupsmission.com

August 2021

Our summer has come to an end in the DR! Here’s a quick recap from our summer interns…   Our summer in the Dominican Republic has come to an end. God has worked in and through the work of our missionaries, donations of our partners and the support of you all. Throughout the summer, we were privileged to share the gospel and the love of Jesus through bible camp, house visitations, prayer walks, feeding our friends at the garbage dump, play time with kids, and family movie nights.    Over 1,085 kids participated in Bible Camp, worshipping the LORD through singing and dancing and learning about the transformation that GOD has to offer. Throughout the summer, several children accepted Jesus for the very first time during Bible Camps.    We use house visitations as an opportunity to not only get to know people and pray for them, we are also able to plant seeds of the Gospel. Throughout our summer, several people gave their lives to Christ for the very first time during these house visitations.     During our free time, we get to spend time playing with kids in the village and host movie nights for the families. These times are always so much fun and give us an opportunity to build relationships and spend quality time with everyone in the villages.    It was such a blessing to be able to resume trips for our teams this summer and we had 116 people join us!    One of my favorite parts of the summer is being a part of Bible Camps. It’s a time to dance and sing without any care of how you look or sound, to have childlike joy pouring out of each and every person. Outside of Bible Camp, I loved being able to simply spend time with these kids and student leaders, to love others and build relationships. – Lauren King, summer intern   Overall, we had an excellent summer and God moved in some big ways. Next summer, consider joining us on a trip to see firsthand what He is doing in the Dominican Republic!      Back to School & Sewing Machines!   School is just around the corner for us here in the States, and our friends in the Dominican Republic! With school season coming up, there are a couple of needs for the kids to ensure they can attend classes and receive education to help shape their future! We are in need of 200 backpacks for these precious kids! In addition to the backpacks, our sewing program, ‘Sewing for Souls’ needs 20 sewing machines for the girls to use and learn this beneficial skill on! Partners like you help keep our programs running and the kids receiving education. Without your support, we would not be able to serve these kids and families in the surrounding communities of Sosúa, Dominican Republic. Would you prayerfully consider giving back a portion of what the Lord has blessed you with so that these kids will be able to attend school and start in the sewing program? Click either of the links below to make your desired contribution. Thank you for all that you do for this mission and the Kingdom!    Our Contact Information The Crossover Cups Mission 2607 Woodruff Rd Suite E #418Simpsonville, SC 29681 877-291-6501

July Update

Exciting things are happening in the Dominican Republic with our new Men of Honor program! In the Dominican Republic, as in many countries, there is a mentality that men are solely meant to make money. The men in these villages are raised in this mindset and oftentimes their families can suffer. Brokenness exists everywhere in our world and Men of Honor exists to to show these men that they are more than just tools for work, they are leaders in their communities, husbands to their wives, fathers to the children, and, most importantly, servants of God. This past December, Men of Honor was able to have its first bi-annual day-long conference to start the conversations to discuss the topic of what it means to be men. Over 80 men participated in this event and since then, more and more men just keep asking “What’s next?” “When will we be meeting again?” Coming soon, we will host our second Men of Honor Conference to bring more of these discourses to light. The men coming out of Men of Honor are taking big steps towards a different future and a different culture for their children. We are not satisfied to continue in the way the system says men ought to be and neither are these men, they are seeking after the way Scripture defines how men ought to be. It is not just twice yearly events with Men of Honor either. There is continual discipleship of these men through communication face to face and over messaging systems where there are daily reminders, lessons, and Scriptures bringing up Truth again and again about the proper way to live and treat your families and those around you. The missionaries in the Dominican Republic are coming alongside these men to train up a new mentality – a mentality where men protect their families, a mentality where they cherish their wives as Christ cherishes His church, and a mentality where God comes first in their households. Together, we are fighting for transformation in the lives of these men so that they too can turn and do the same in the lives of the other men they come into contact with. 2 Timothy 2:2 “And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.”

February Update

WAY Radio has joined with Crossover CUPS Mission to help a village in the Dominican Republic, specifically the mountain village of Alto de la Jagua. In February 2021, the WAY Radio listeners in Brunswick and in Jacksonville provided the funding needed to construct a community center. The WAY Radio community center in Alto de la Jagua will provide discipleship programs, including the Boys’ Life Basketball Discipleship program. It will provide a meeting place for the 200 children in the village to learn about Jesus while being afforded the opportunity to have programs that will challenge them to avoid the traditional traps of poverty in the Dominican Republic. Too many children, without programs like ours, end up trapped in a life of abuse and exploitation. Our Boys’ Life Basketball Discipleship program empowers young men to become leaders in spreading the gospel in their communities. YOU CAN SEE THE WORK IN PERSON! Want to see the community center as it’s being built, or plan a trip for when it’s completed? You can work with Crossover CUPS Mission and visit the mountain village that WAY Radio’s listeners and staff have adopted … Alto de la Jagua. WHAT’S NEXT? Once the community center is running, we’ll begin planning for the trade programs that will help give children an alternative to the exploitation that so many endure. Life skills like sewing and baking help the children eventually find REAL employment, while continuing to grow in their newfound faith in Christ. JOIN US! WAY Radio in Jacksonville and in Brunswick are excited about what the future holds for the residents of Alto de la Jagua. Together we can make a difference in the Caribbean. Join us on a visit, join us in prayer, join us in support. Learn more about the program here. Want to give? Click here.
